Last week, Libyas transitional government issued a ban on religiously-based political parties. Now, just days after the initial decision one that infuriated Islamist groups was made, officials have decided to backtrack. AFP has more regarding the decision to, once again, allow religiously-rooted political parties:
Libyas ruling National Transitional Council on Wednesday dropped a controversial ban against parties organised along religious, regional, tribal or ethnic lines.
Members of the NTC judicial committee on Wednesday read out an amended version of its law governing the formation of political parties, making no mention of the ban.
Originally, The Blaze reported that in the wake of Muammar Gaddafis death and ever-changing political constructs, the Libyan government had issued the landmark ban. But pressures from Muslim political groups likely played into the decision to reverse course.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Not a good thing.
Aren’t you glad you helped pay for this nonsense ? Tomahawk missiles don’t grow on trees, ya know.
Libyan defense minister Osama al-Juwali has done a good job of rebuilding Libya’s army, and he has a highly effective program in place to “pursuade” militant Muslim groups to disarm.
The people in Tripoli want to make the city another Dubai “City of Gold,” and they hate the Muslim militias that pop up from time-to-time. Most of them are populated by 16-year-old punks looking to get free stuff.
al-Juwali is quietly taking them out as necessary with the approval of the vast majority of the Tripoli population.
AFP ( LAgence France-Presse), which this story came from, is a completely untrustworthy news source in my opinion. Its PC, bumbling, left-wing hacks have put out a bunch of disinformation about Libya.
Reuters and AP are also spewing out propaganda in an effort to get radical Muslims into the government. I believe both are being fed disinformation by the liberal traitors in various DC PR firms who were hired by the criminal government of Bahrain.
