Funding serves ‘security interests of the US,’ says president. Congress blocked it after Abbas’s bid for UN recognition of ‘Palestine’
The US Congress froze a $192 million aid package to the Palestinian Authority after its president, Mahmoud Abbas, defied US pressure and sought to attain UN endorsement of Palestinian statehood last September. The presidential waiver means that aid can now be delivered.
The unilateral statehood gambit was strongly opposed by Israel, which said Abbas was seeking to avoid negotiating the necessary compromises and modalities of statehood with Israel. The US indicated it would veto a resolution in the Security Council seeking unilateral recognition of “Palestine,” but the issue has not come to a vote, because the Palestinians were unable to obtain sufficient support in the Security Council. They may yet seek a non-binding endorsement of statehood in the UN General Assembly.
Section 3 of Congress’s Palestinian Accountability Act, which applies to 2012, stipulates that “no funds available to any United States Government department or agency … may be obligated or expended with respect to providing funds to the Palestinian Authority.” Obama has now signed a waiver, however, the White House said Friday, and asked Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to inform Congress accordingly.

A few years ago, I got my butt ripped for saying Israel was becoming suicidal. It looks as if I was right. When push comes to shove, if you refuse to stand and be self reliant then you will get taken out with the trash.

Since the Blacks seem to have more local, state and federal programs designed especially for those with darker skin perhaps there’s something to be learned about marching.
If status was defined by pity programs for losers, you'd be right. Programs designed to keep blacks dependent, angry, and perceived as pathetic aren't hallmarks of superior techniques. The time for 'marching' is past...
If we want the black community to act like adults, we need to quit treating them like children.
The social program advertisements are designed to convince the coloreds that they have been robbed of many opportunities and they in fact are victims of government oppression. I don’t think Zero’s brother views American coloreds the same way when he looks at them from the front gate of his mud hut.
The Blacks in America have been told they deserve better than their African brethren. So with air conditioned homes they complain via free cell phones about Michelle’s program that ridicules their obesity and the stress of not eating a fast food diet causes them.
Community organizers have learned that mass marching will gain them almost anything they want including the ability to commit crimes without fear of arrest. Rioters have shown that when you get enough people marching together, the TV films will never be reviewed to determine the identity of the arsonists, window smashers, looters or vehicle vandalism.
As you said, Blacks are big into ‘marching’ - Jews - not so much...” Well, maybe they need to start.

This is a 'treason' against that friendship; and should be considered such. Hamas is an enemy of America. It's ties to Al Queda; make them a dangerous enemy.
No one died and left Obama as Emperor or King of America. Why/how. . .can he get away with this. Muslim Brotherhood; Hamas. . .terrorists on his gift list - given in America's name. (Actually; Obama gives 'our money' in 'his name'.)
What is missing here; beyond decent Leadership; which appears MIA. How can Obama do this without exceeding/violating his authority?

This idea of the President acting as a ruler has got to stop. It is completely unConstitutional.
Same government, same thing. Of course that's only my opinion, others would disagree. Which is why Congress blocked aid to the Palestinian Authority based on their dropping their unilateral attempt to establish a state outside of bilateral negotiations. Congress, why should Obama pay any attention to Congress. What do they matter.
