You read it wrong. Buckhorn is the mayor trying to ban guns. Scott is the governor who said he will allow no such thing.
"And, to be clear, I am far less concerned with those who have concealed weapons permits than the ones who may somehow acquire a weapon and use it to create mayhem."
I know nothing of the guy's politics, but that one comment actually makes some sense, and is not typical of a gun-grabber. Others who DO know of his political attitude have informed me otherwise...thanks for the input.
