If Buffet (I mean Jimmy) was a conservative, he’d make a pretty decent song out of your tagline...

Never Romney, so don't lie about me, caww.

Not a lie at all...if you check the box FOR Romney your vote will be counted as 'For' Romney....therefore you ARE 'supporting' Romney....

When we vote for a candidate, we are voting not just for a person, but for that person’s platform....Ballots do not contain room for voters to indicate why thy have chosen a particular candidate. ..it therefore will always be "For" the candidate and all which he stands for. That is how your vote will be counted.... regardless of how you might think it should show otherwise.

Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the 'consent of the governed.....voting FOR Romney is 'your consent' to be governed by him and his platform.

Actually, if you read the entire string of posts between us, this individual very condescendingly and presumptiously tried to tell me what the site,

Oh that is RICH coming from you who does that constantly. You do not hold a monopoly on what FR is about.

you don’t know that for a fact.

Romney's record pretty much confirms what I wrote to be a fact.

You don't think Romneycare being a model for ObamaCare was any coincidence do you?

“Your family (the country) is going to be shot in front of you by a squad of riflemen. Your choice is will it be a squad of enemy riflemen or a squad of your own riflemen. If you pick your own you get to be part of the squad.”

Oh, please, let me ;^)

I figure the person giving me this insane choice is the officer in charge, and he meets Satan without a trachea, and I have an interesting battlefield souvenir for St. Peter. While the firing squad is filling me full of holes, my family revolts from their Rino Coma, takes out the firing squad, and seizes their liberty and constitution with their own hands, because it’s inalienably theirs, and they know any law, institution, or strong man that denies that inheritance can be pulled out by the roots like any other parasite, by free men and women.

The field that lies fallow awaits a Conservative Spring.

Did I answer good?

“Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established, should not be changed for light and transient causes; and, accordingly, all experience [has] shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But, when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce [the people] under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.” —Thomas Jefferson: Declaration of Independence, 1776. ME 1:29, Papers 1:429

“Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of a day; but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period and pursued unalterably through every change of ministers, too plainly prove a deliberate, systematic plan of reducing [a people] to slavery.” —Thomas Jefferson: Rights of British America, 1774. (*) ME 1:193, Papers 1:125

“When patience has begotten false estimates of its motives, when wrongs are pressed because it is believed they will be borne, resistance becomes morality.” —Thomas Jefferson to M. deStael, 1807. ME 11:282

“Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God.” —Thomas Jefferson: his motto.

“If ever there was a holy war, it was that which saved our liberties and gave us independence.” —Thomas Jefferson to John Wayles Eppes, 1813. ME 13:430

“The oppressed should rebel, and they will continue to rebel and raise disturbance until their civil rights are fully restored to them and all partial distinctions, exclusions and incapacitations are removed.” —Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Religion, 1776. Papers 1:548

“As revolutionary instruments (when nothing but revolution will cure the evils of the State) [secret societies] are necessary and indispensable, and the right to use them is inalienable by the people.” —Thomas Jefferson to William Duane, 1803. FE 8:256

I am going to vote for a CONSERVATIVE and It ain’t Romney.

Yep..me as well.

This Primary was a last stand...we lost. Reasons run the gambit but loss it was, and IMO the last opportunity to stand against this tide.

Fools believing that 'Romney is a choice' for them have not understood the game which brought him to the forefront...and why the ABO push is on as it is.

My gosh Romney people called me and it wasn't at all about his platform....but an entirely hyped up fear of Obama if you don't vote for Romney.

Interesting is neither of them can run on their record....they're too much alike....so they both have to play the game as we see them playing it now....it's all about 'emotional impact' now, and with a public ripe to 'feel'....and currently it's about making people fearful....a very strong and powerful emotion which can and does move people away from careful reasoning.

Romney's being portrayed as the (Humble) Savior from Obama....he doesn't have to work at either...it's already been sold to the public. Now he'll flip and state he's not that with all kinds of rhetoric fully scripted to further his deception.

Obama will be protrayed as the comforter, convincing the people they have nothing to fear.

What insanity that this will and is working on a people who are fast loosing the ability for critical thinking and relying exclusively on what emotional buttons are pushed from one minute to the next.....eventually giving in because one cannot sustain that emotional roller-coaster indefinitely...which ever can convince them they can relieve that inner turmoil will get their vote....for many of those who will be voting.

I'm saying I will vote for Romney rather than promote four more years of a Communist.

You can twist and distort all you want, but promoting Obama and claiming it's because you're a conservative, doesn't wash.

I'll tell you what I'm going to do, even though you don't really deserve a rational response......I'm going to SUPPORT Josh Mandel in the Ohio Senatorial election to get rid of Communist Sherrod Brown, and I'm going to vote for Romney in order to end the Communist reign of the Obama administration.

If you have problems with that, it's your problem, not mine.

My soul belongs to Jesus Christ and Him alone, and I'm not selling it to anyone to end the terror of the Obama administration.

Dittos to what all of you have said.

Jeff doesn’t deserve this sort of smearing from lesser freepers...some of whom I know to post only to stir crap up and appear to shame the forum.

All this teeth gnashing will be for naught same as it was when folks here fought bitterly in the run up to Sarah’s non run.

It was as bad as Schiavo...just lesser numbers.

Now here we are again...self destructing for nothing.

Romney will likely be the nominee and probably endorsed by everyone even though almost all of us loathe his moderate to liberal positions in the past.

it was a juggernaut we did not stop

conservatives can sit it out or hold their nose

it’s a personal decision not worthy of the vitriol here

what is next?

when Palin endorse Romney at some point will she be a whore as well....that is crazy

just as crazy as calling Bachmann that

political forums from here to LP to the Klowns to WA to that new Blue joint....when I lurk about watching folks

it’s dispiriting how so many forum posters are just nasty people...likely with little or no life

you weed it all out and learn who here matters

and the big secret is that is what keeps us here and what keeps anti freepers at their sites looking in talking about us

strange isn’t it?

human nature....it’s often ugly and the internet sure gets to highlight that..this is all going to be hard to unfold

I wish Palin had tried...at least we could have known whether we had it or not rather than fielding all these substitutes against GOPE, Fox, most talk radio and WSJ and Wash Times and the big money

You and I have had our differences in the past, although we’ve agreed on much, much more. I am with you here. If we don’t stop obam it will be over. That’s not hyperbole or melodrama it’s just what it is. The guy hates this country and what it stands for. He hates our history, our heritage, our way of life. What other presidential candidate ever had the unmitigated gall as to refer to our Constitution and a “Charter of Negative Rights’ and an unneeded fetter on the government? Just to utter those sentiments is proof positive that the marxist assclown doesn’t have a clue as to what a great blessing it is to be an American.

I would not prefer either.

Nor would I, my FRiend. But if it comes to a choice between living in Sweden for four years and being under continued attack by a hardcore Communist whose goal is to create chaos and destroy this country, I'll take Sweden.

Unfortunately, for now, it's the only choice we have, barring the miraculous (which I'm not doing). We have to work together to fix this, or the country is gone.

But if we don't stop Obama in November, it's very unlikely we will ever have that chance.

The conversation is over unless you retract your deliberate and knowing misrepresentation of the truth.

Sorry, but lying ends all conversation with me.

Good bye.

Well that's not going to happen nationwide...unless the media chooses to make a mockery out of him.

The GOP certainly managed to take out every candidate that got in their way of Kinging Romney. Regardless of the vast somes of money to do otherwise. Should this guy even begin to rise they'll knock him out "fast and furious"

Still it would be great if conservatives could rally behind a specific candidate....it would show as a Presidential vote, but only if they are registered in the voters state I understand.

One of the things I like best about the majority of conservatives, is that we can have our differences and still be friends.

However we may have disagreed in the past (not often, methinks!), I AGREE with every word you've said, and think that anyone who even begins to grasp the danger that Barack Obama poses, and the damage he's already caused, agrees with us.

Obama hates America. He's actively trying to destroy it as quickly as possible.

And I'm not going to assist him in getting it done.

The truth is if you check the Romney box you are then supporting Romney no matter how you might otherwise determine that vote is justified in your mind. The parties will see it as “FOR” Romney and it will be counted as such....and it’s that truth people are struggling with.
