It is like most tradional Christian denominations, but why is that question important? It is no different than asking what Jehovah’s Witnesses’ views of, say, Methodists are. My point is that almost any serious sect, denomination, or whatever your term at some level thinks all the rest are heretics. If you don’t think that, then you probably belong to Rick Warren’s church where nobody is “wrong.” so why wouldn’t ‘Mormonism’ have the same view of others that others have of them?

You seem to know neither early church history or denominational distinctives.

What is consistent with both -- comparing the early church fathers with denominational leaders today -- is that just about all of them made key distinctions 'tween someone who was an errorist and somebody who was a heretic.

Tertullian was a Montanist (kind of like the charismatics of his day), yet was well-respected by other Christian leaders during his time and afterwards. Somebody might regard Montanism as having an errorist strain; but they would not usually treat that sect the way they did heretics and heresies.

Your use of the word "wrong" is similar to considering other denominations "wrong" on some key doctrine or two. Yet even the most traditional of Protestant denominations (Lutheranism, Presbyterianism, etc.) regard other Christian denominations as brothers in Christ...not heretics.

They do make distinctions 'tween a Methodist, who they would regard as "Christian" denomination -- and a JW -- which has embraced the ancient heresy of Arianism.

So, no. Your statement that the opinion is that "all the rest are heretics" is an ignorant asenine conclusion that attempts to place words in the mouth of countless Christian denominations and their leaders!

You wouldn't want that done for you, would you?

You attend a pentecostal church that thinks Mormons are like any other denomination?!?!

You people need to learn the facts and read the Bible. I know several Pentecostals and even attend a Pentecostal church sometimes and I have NEVER heard anything other than Mormons are a cult.

Are most traditional Christian denomination polytheistic?

Are most traditional Christian denominations believing that God evolved from a man?

Are most traditional Christian denominations rejecting the cross?
