A hundred assailants? More like Rorke's Drift than a normal confrontation--and bet there'd be a couple of guns, illegal or otherwise, in the crowd.

Even if one or two thugs had a gun, do you think that once the shooting started they would stand there, or that they would run?

As for me, if I'm surrounded by a hundred, I would probably decide I'm screwed regardless, and I might as well select an honor guard to take with me.

I'm not saying don't fight, Papa Bear, and sometimes that is the best way--to take out the toughest acting and loudest agitators first.

Just don't expect to get out scott free--sing your death song while you fight, and give good account of yourself.
