We thought that Justin was on the mend and effectively in the clear. He did have a few complications as the healing process proceeded but none were overwhelming.
Until yesterday.....
Out of the blue, Justin began to lose sight in both his eyes at a rapid pace. If this pace continues, doctors believe he could be legally blind before this weekend finishes.
The Doctors are baffled, they have no clue as to the cause.
Please pray for our brave soldier, Justin, that he heal quickly and his sight restored. Please forward this to whoever you would like to build this prayer chain. It is deperately needed now.
Weve learned a lot over the past couple of months regarding blast injury recovery that our soldiers experience. Some of the injuries you would consider normal, infections from shrapnel, respitory issues etc. However, some are bizzare. For example, Justin began to have rapid bone growths in random parts of his body. Kind of like a bone spur but they would grow out of the bone to several inches in length piercing the skin overnight. The docs would have to cut him open and grind down the growth. This has occurred multiple times.
Evidently, this is not uncommon to wounded vets that were in a pressure blast wave.
However the scariest after his near death experiences is this vision issue....and the doctors have not a clue...
God Bless,

Lord Jesus,
We pray for Justin Lansford, a warrior for this nation, who has been severely injured in combat. Your heart has always appreciated soldiers, Lord, from David to Cornelius, one a shepherd raised to King and the other the first gentile through whom the message of grace was made clear.
We pray for Your grace upon Justin. He has given everything for his friends, and in that we find an illustration of Your own love for us. “Greater love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.”
Uphold him, we pray, by Your power. Guide those who minister healing to him. And, when their insight is used up, Lord, we pray for Your greater sight that sees all and understands all.
And with Justin on our hearts, we pray for all of our warriors, that they would win every engagement with their enemies. And we pray for this nation whose leaders are not worthy of the sacrifice our warriors make, for these national leaders endlessly dither selfishly on their own prestige and entitlement.
Cause Justin to be made whole, Lord Jesus. Restore his body, his sight, and his resolve.
We pray this in Your holy name; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Amen.
