Not enough details to compare and contrast but in the link you posted, the worker was clearly trespassing and had to even climb a fence to do so. The homeowner wasn’t charged, rightfully so.

So if the worker in the OP knocked on the door, got no answer then trespassed on private property then it’s similar. If not, nice strawman...

Utility worker has a utility easement to enter for maintenance. He wasn’t trespassing.
