I cannot say I haven't struggled with the place we are in...thru the Primary I knew who ever would win..by what ever measures they might use to seal it, would be a strong indicator where we are in this hour before God.
My fear was the people would not turn to the Lord and by doing so swallow whatever they were being fed. We certainly missed the opportunity to turn this ship around IMO....I believe this was the last opportunity.
You are correct about our culture...it is not the USA it once was....many nationalities now come in with no intention of assimilating, rather they set up their cultures shop, their religions, and then infiltrated our churches with their beliefs and rituals.......reminds me of the middle ages.
It's heartbreaking to see we have lost this nation to the hoards that have entered in....but then that is exactly what happens to nations who turn their backs on God....we aren't completely there yet but it's fast approaching now.
I do think we are past the point of no return now...what our nation will look like and how it will look ahead will be changed to what it was never intended...and we've certainly seen more than enough from what it was.
However...we have another message and work to be done..and with that what we can do to stem the tide a little perhaps.
AMEN!!!!
Incredibly well stated.
I was so consumed by fear over the course our nation has been going for the last decade, that the refusal of many churches to even consider repenting of becoming lukewarm and surrendering our culture, I began to despair and anger nearly overtook me. The idea to do a 2 Chronicles 7:14 seemed absurd for many congregations that literally were of the opinion that they had all the fullness of Christ and had need of nothing, least of all to accept any responsibility for losing our culture.
Such is madness when our national blessings come from God, and this culture has decided to yank Him out of our civic life while Christians (Like Republicans) did little to nothing to stand up for righteousness.
Being called to go to the other side of the world to do something I did not want to do, actually helped me focus on God and less on solving our national slide into ruin.
There is still a work to be done in terms of preaching the Gospel. It’s stunning to learn how many have never even yet heard of Jesus Christ.
While we have a little daylight left, my prayer has been more earnestly to ask God to hold back the night, So we have a bit more time to do the work of the Lord before night falls and none of us in the faith can work openly.
As someone here at FReepers recently noted, they do not find the USA involved in the events that describe the End of the Age in Daniel and Revelation, and they suggested that perhaps we are not even in existence at that time.
I concur with that study. Time is short, and our only hope is not in voting for men into positions of political power, but recapturing our culture first and foremost.
A moral and Godly people are the only building materials upon which a house of liberty can be secure. Short term political solutions to save our skins that betray principles are not going to amount to anything but ruin and judgment.
“For whoever may desire to save his life will lose it. But whoever may lose his life for My sake will find it”. - Matthew 16:25
That is as true of our nation as it is an individual. Political expedience while surrendering principles to save our nation will result in losing it.
