We are a self-governing people
Spirited: To be self-governed is to be self-disciplined, meaning that one’s disordered passions, appetites, and emotions do not control one’s thoughts, words, and deeds.
That increasing numbers of Americans at every level of society are “out-of-control” rather than the reverse is everywhere evident. And when the out-of-control outnumber the self-disciplined the idea of a self-governing people is dead and must be replaced with tyranny.
Wrong. Perhaps in liberal hell-holes within the nation, but not everywhere in America. You have a very limited and pessimistic outlook.
We ARE still mostly self-governing over large areas of the country. Or things wouldn't get done.
My appetites do drive my deeds. Or I wouldn't plant a garden so that I could eat.
Your logic is muddled, and unfit for a real world.
Prepare for success, or prepare for failure. That's the choice.
