“You need some real Conservative heroes. These guys ain’t it.”

I’m not trying to be overly contentious, but that is not my fault, nor is it Mitt Romney’s fault.

The field, this time, was wide open.

And even if it is not so wide open in the future, I’ll be open to all comers.

Sarah Palin CHOSE not to run, for example. Did somebody twist her arm behind the scenes? I don’t think so, because I think that if they had she would have let the world know.

This is a self-selected contest, an all volunteer army.

Being a nice Irish Catholic girl I don’t get your dig about the ‘almost pentecostals’ but that’s OK.

This is not an election for Pope of the US.

People don’t like Romney, I get it. I’m not crazy about him either.

But, we need to see when the conflict is on our own side.

We had 10 official candidates. 7 of them were not Really Republicans, nor were they Conservatives.

What that did was divide the vote for the purpose of bringing Romney up to the #3 or #4 position early in the cycle.

The party has been cracking down on minority candidates at the state level by erecting onerous nominating petition requirements. All that has done is give the minority groups an edge over the more nebulous "movement" members of the Republican coalition.

"near pentecostal" kinda' includes all the graduates from Oral Roberts or Regents universities ~ they all fall into line with Romney.

If you know any RCs who graduated from either school you might ask yourself "Now how did that happen"?!
