Let's put this to bed. We have bigger fish to fry.

Everyone please send whatever you are able to, whether it is $10, $100 or $1,000+. The DUmmies, Morons, Kos Kiddies and that crew are laughing up their sleeves. Jim may have to make this site members only or allow ads. Better for us to just help with what we can. Maybe you can donate as a memorial for a lost loved one, a servicemember who never made it home or was disabled defending our country. Perhaps you'd like to give to keep free discussion alive and to show them that we're not knuckling under. I'm sure a well thought out or prayerful meditation will lead you to see the need and how you can help. If every registered FReeper and our lurkers would each just help out with a fin or a sawbuck, or better yet a Ben Franklin, we could put this to bed and get on with the conservative cause.

“But, those who are supporting Romney because they think he is miles ahead of Obama are indeed getting the bums rush.”
I don’t even think he’s “miles” ahead of Obama, but he’s not an anti-capitalist, pro-Muslim Brotherhood, Marxist who’s on a jihad to bring down this country. In the eyes of some hereon, that means I’m “campaigning for Romney”. Blithering nonsense.

I 100% agree with what you said. The fact of the matter is if people are openly supporting Obama(and I’ve seen the cheerleading myself here which is disgusting) on this site and that’s OK with the powers that be..... then sadly this site is doomed. It will become a smaller and smaller echo chamber. No true conservative would ever want marxist Obama to have another four years. No one is worse than him, NO ONE!
To: Ace of Spades
If you want to choose one Marxist who is in George Soros’s pocket over another Marxist who is in George Soros’s pocket, or a stalking horse for a Marxist who is in George Soros’s pocket, that’s up to you.
As Jim has said, you may vote for whomever you wish, but do not campaign on FR for Marxists like Romney. That is his objection to those who advocate for Romney here.
It truly is that simple, but the simple minded just can’t seem to grasp that plain request.
Go figure.

Thank you for making me LOL. I have been reading every post on this thread. It is making me sad. I count on FR to be a place where many of us have a great deal in common. I have been naive to not have realized the level of controversy and bad feelings that exist.

John McCain was bad, but then we had the Tea Party and 2010 and this site was thriving, why? People weren't zotted for voting for McCain over Obama even though we all despised McCain. Five reasons:
1) Sarah Palin (the biggest reason by far),
2) McCain at least had some redeeming features.
3) Romney is an absolute lemon who takes key GOP campaign issues off the table, and
4) The GOP-E in 2010 showed that for them, party unity only applies when the RINO wins. So calls from the GOP-E for party unity now just don't cut it the way they used to, and
5) Romney's scorched-earth approach to winning the primary makes it all that much harder to reconcile afterwards.
The GOP-E made this bed, not conservatives. We've shown we'll go along. But our eyes have been opened over the last two election cycles (2010 and now). The GOP-E won't be pulling the wool over our eyes any longer.

Can you define Marxist? I see it thrown around a lot, but define it. What is the difference between a Marxist, Communist, and Socialist. Or, do we just have to keep changing the insult word once the current one loses its bite (RINO has become GOP-e now)?

We are a divided country in most every respect, what makes Freepers think this will not reveal itself also on this site....it's a time to choose...it's that simple. We're old enough to have seen several elections and this Primary was as no other...so too will be the general election. Lines are being drawn pretty much everywhere....understanding the times we are in is important to understanding why these lines are being drawn.......
Why should FR not also take their stand and for that matter "Strengthen Their Position?"

I certainly do believe that it is the owner’s right to establish whatever rules or standards he chooses.
I hope he will come around to believing that anyone without visible horns and tail is better than Obama.
This thread makes it pretty obvious how people are feeling about the current posting rules.
