As support for gay mom and former Boy Scout troop leader Jennifer Tyrrell contines to pour in from across America, it's important to reflect on those who have been saying all along that moms like Jen should be allowed in the Boy Scouts. Including Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who said in a 1994 debate:
I believe that the Boy Scouts of America does a wonderful service for this country. I support the right of the Boy Scouts of America to decide what it wants to do on that issue. I feel that all people should be able to participate in the Boy Scouts regardless of their sexual orientation.
Romney was a member of Boy Scouts of America's National Executive Board at the time. Romney's belief that "all people should be able to participate in the Boy Scouts," echoes the opinion of over 146,000 People who have joined Jennifer's Change.org action calling on the Boy Scouts of America to end its long history of discrimination against LGBT people. Tyrrell was ousted as scout leader of her 7-year-old sons Boy Scouts troop simply because shes gay.

Nevermind the fact that Romney banned the boyscouts from helping with the SLC Olympics, simply because they don’t allow gays.
“GOPes favoriate pervert has to know that homos were raping the heck out of boys and that is why they are banned...”

“Careful, you’ll upset the “Anybody But Obama” crowd.”
Romney is a pretty bad anybody but Obama....
Fond memories there, I have been in exile for nearly thirty years, wife has relatives in Springdale, we were there a year or so back. Oddly my wifes maiden name is Brumley, no known relation, but I suppose we are all related. Had a relative doing a family tree once, made us all look like inbred rednecks. :) Baptists like me prefer Country Western and Bill Gaither, and Elvis was really a gospel singer that got caught up in the business.
Don’t know what you’ve been smoking but I don’t want any of it.
How can a legitimate issue not have two sides and a middle?
A legitimate issue can have both a legitimate and illegitimate side; and subsequently an illegitimate middle that grants legitimacy to illegitimacy. Take the right to life with innocent life being legitimate, murder being illegitimate, and privacy (abortion) being the middle.
Moral relativity, dualism, and triangulation -pretty much all the same flawed lines of reasoning. One can find any number of such flawed lines of reasoning where absurdity that flies in the face of both natural law and truth is argued and has been argued today to justify any number of scientific 'facts' and or abominations. The devil has a golden tongue.
An example dualism argument shot down:
Professor : You are a Christian, arent you, son ?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor: So, you believe in GOD ?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Professor : Is GOD good ?
Student : Sure.
Professor: Is GOD all powerful ?
Student : Yes.
Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didnt. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?
(Student was silent.)
Professor: You cant answer, can you ? Lets start again, young fella. Is GOD good?
Student : Yes.
Professor: Is satan good ?
Student : No.
Professor: Where does satan come from ?
Student : From GOD
Professor: Thats right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student : Yes.
Professor: Evil is everywhere, isnt it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?
Student : Yes.
Professor: So who created evil ?
(Student did not answer.)
Professor: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, dont they?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor: So, who created them ?
(Student had no answer.)
Professor: Science says you have 5 Senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son, have you ever seen GOD?
Student : No, sir.
Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your GOD?
Student : No , sir.
Professor: Have you ever felt your GOD, tasted your GOD, smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any sensory perception of GOD for that matter?
Student : No, sir. Im afraid I havent.
Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student : Yes.
Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesnt exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.
Professor: Yes, faith. And that is the problem Science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Professor: Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as cold?
Professor: Yes.
Student : No, sir. There isnt.
(The lecture theater became very quiet with this turn of events.)
Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we dont have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we cant go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.
(There was pin-drop silence in the lecture theater.)
Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Professor: Yes. What is night if there isnt darkness?
Student : Youre wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isnt it? In reality, darkness isnt. If it is, well you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldnt you?
Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man ?
Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Professor: Flawed ? Can you explain how?
Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good GOD and a bad GOD. You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science cant even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.
Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going.)
Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor. Are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?
(The class was in uproar.)
Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professors brain?
(The class broke out into laughter. )
Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professors brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?
(The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable.)
Professor: I guess youll have to take them on faith, son.
Student : That is it sir Exactly ! The link between man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that keeps things alive and moving.
??? thanx?
Second, I said I'd never vote for a RINO again, but I will have to eat my words if we're going to stop the present administration.
Lastly, I believe that it does take courage to run for public office against a Chicago thug. You have to worry 24 hours a day about physical harm to your family or yourself from your opposition or his fanatical followers. I know from painful experience that contributing even modest amounts of money to conservative causes can put you in the cross hairs of the IRS; months and years later they let you go, but not until they've had a great deal of fun at your expense — even though you might be innocent of any wrongdoing. Liberals with power and no sense of decency can torment outspoken conservatives a thousand miserable ways. I think courage is a must.
Hey Mitt, how did that work out for Penn St. football?
