Lesbian Cub Leader Fired for Being Gay, Fights Boy Scouts

Jennifer Tyrrell, the den leader who was "fired" by her local Cub Scout troop for being gay, said that her 7-year-old son Cruz will not remain in the national organization because of its discrimination against gay leaders and scouts.

In March, the Boy Scouts of America removed Tyrrell from her position, telling her that her sexual orientation "did not meet the high standards" of conduct set by the Boy Scouts of America

"We can no longer support an organization that has these policies and we hope to get them changed," said Tyrrell. "That is our main goal."

In the article it mentions that the BSA won a lawsuit allowing them to exclude gays by a 5-4 supreme court decision. What type of country are we “nearly” living in when a private organization has to accept members it is opposed to letting in?

For all those who don’t want to vote for Mitt, your victory will ring a bit hollow if Obama gets to nominate another justice.

Personally, I don’t understand why a large part of the populace even thinks they (as in We the People) have the right to dictate to the BSA who they let in. I don’t even know how to talk to the other side because I can’t figure out how they think.

It begs the question what makes them so special to determine who should be tolerated and who shouldn’t. Where do they get their authority over us?

Only in the way that, from a purely psychological standpoint, they really are not proud or happy to be living in the world they have made for themselves. So to feel better, they feel it necessary to make everyone accept them.

If the whole troop, then the BSA should disenfranchise the troop number.

ACTUALLY, the problem is with people who promote the flawed proposition that "moral issues" do not matter 'right now' or that [these] issues are best left to the States e.g. hold your nose and vote for another morally spineless RINO!

Here we are discussing another one of those 'moral issues', principle that supposedly do not matter YET there are posters here that they matter much too; posters that take the time to tell some to SHUT UP about it already -STOP bring up those pesky "moral issues"...

Here is something paraphrased that I recently posted to another persistent promoter of unimportance and no principles necessary except those THEY feel are important.

There is a fight for the soul of our Republic, the fight IS at the federal level and some suggest we win by retreating to the States e.g. State's Rights -what next, retreating to the towns, then retreating to our places of worship and finally retreating our homes? We should retreat and wait -when will YOU RINOs wake up to what is going on?

We conservatives must succeed if our country is to survive and success is NOT about retreat and compromise! What worked for Reagan was promoting a correct understanding of what it means to be a Republic and what limited government is all about (not JUST a balanced budget); but a principled position, a clarion call that our primary goal as patriots is to defend the people against the encroachments of big government.

If the advocates of the homosexual agenda want to use and expand the power of the government at the federal level to impose the normalcy of homosexual sex upon the people and we proclaim we represent those that defend against this, WE WILL WIN at the polls and we will return our country back to the people! However, if we continue to follow RINOs over the cliff or progressive political correctness the republic will be no more.
