Dirtboy's Message to Dengar01 -

Show a post where any FReeper has done that. Campaigning against Romney does not mean campaigning for and fundraising for Obama - there are third party candidates who are actual conservatives.

Make your case for Romney without distorting what those you disagree with are saying.

Read post #74.

Given a straight boolean* choice between Obama and Romney, I'd vote for Obama; the reasoning is simple: Obama and Romney are virtually identical policy-wise, so the only effect of "changing horses" is a [false] psychological perception of accomplishment. If we want the policies to be refuted, then we stand a much better chance if we don't have a weakening due to some people [who would otherwise contribute] believing that changing a 'D' to an 'R' *was* a [real] repudiation.

* -- Fortunately, the choice is not a boolean and even if Romney wins the Republican primary I can vote some third party, like cripplecreek. 74 posted on Thursday, April 26, 2012 12:18:29 AM by OneWingedShark (Q: Why am I here? A: To do Justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with my God.)

Dirtboy, I've been here for over a decade I don't go around randomly screaming lies, otherwise I'd been thrown off here a long time ago...

I pinged folks from a previous thread where this issue came up including the owner of this site so he can see that there are people who are shouting their support for Barack Obama.

That is the most disgusting post I have seen on this website in 10 years. If I said in 2000 that I support Al Gore over George W. Bush I'd be in Viking Kittie Heaven.

So dirtboy, I really don't appreciate your slanderous comment made towards me. You wanted evidence, there is your evidence. And there is plenty more...

A lot of them try to make their comments not as robust by saying, "well I can vote 3rd party". One of the most prominent FReepers who I pinged but won't disclose their name stated that there are FReepers who are actual Democrats who show up every POTUS cycle to stir up crap and throw in "I'd support Gore", "I'd support Kerry", "I'd support Obama."

Is that not in violation of the TOS when you sign up to post on Free Republic? MANY FReepers are voting in the election and are voting third party or leaving it blank. But they don't go to the point of stating that they'll vote for Hussein!!!

Voting for Obama is not the same as campaigning for him or fundraising for him.

And there are third-party candidates as well.

Instead of shouting at people for being hesitant to vote for Romney, why don't you look at the reasons why? The GOP-E stabbed the Tea Party in the back in 2010, so party unity has already been shown to be a one-way street. That is their doing, not that of conservatives.
