Washington (CNN) - Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney are likely to meet in early May to discuss a Santorum endorsement, his role as a Romney surrogate and conservative policy issues, CNN has learned.
John Brabender, a senior strategist for the Santorum campaign, told CNN that Santorum's goal is to have a policy-oriented session in which he tries to find a "comfort level" about the role "social conservatives, tea party activists and blue collar Republicans will play in the campaign and in the Romney administration." Even so, he said, "we are not walking in there with a litmus test. This is meant to be a candid conversation."

I never had much use for Santorum, This makes me thing I was right.
“about the role “social conservatives, tea party activists and blue collar Republicans will play in the campaign and in the Romney administration.”
TEA Party doesn’t have a leader. Rick speaks for himself. Especially if he’s plotting at a table with Mittens.
H.Ross Santorum
I’m guessing it won’t be newsworthy when Gingrich endorses Mittens.
Newt already stated at several of the earlier debates that any candidate on the stage would be better than Obama. The ONE thing I disagree with Newt on.
They have already called Conneticut for Romney!

Political gamesmanship.
Hate the game, not the player.
If Romney is the nominee, they'll all do it, including Sarah Palin, Rick Perry (Lord help me), Mark Levin, etc.
No, when Newt finally endorses Romney, the FRingrichers will crawl all over each other to explain why it’s just the most wonderful thing in the world, how it represents true conservative principles, how Newt has Mitt wrapped around his little finger, how it’s really a Great Victory for the Great Battle-Warrior of Conservativism.
You ain’t got no idea how elastic principles can become when wielded by the Newtster and his peeps.
No, we understand it is the “Give us Barabbas” vote.
I was hopeful on Rick at one time. But after looking at his voting record then it became clear that he is another one who is not what he says he is. He would actually fit in quite well with Romney in many ways.
It is time for someone one really good to jump on the 3rd party bandwagon. But they better do it in a hurry.
For any major player within the Republican Party, it would be political suicide not to endorse the nominee. Romney will be endorsed not only by Santorum, but by Newt, Rick Perry, Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, etc., etc.
Right now Santorum is the only conservative holding any major cards left to play, weak as his hand is. I think that it is also worth noting that, even though Rick suspended his campaign two weeks ago, that he still has not endorsed Romney. There is a signal being sent.
Like it or not, Rick will be our negotiator for conservatism with Romney. Personally, I will be voting third party, but I think that we should be supportive of Rick in trying to extract a pound of flesh from Romney.
Both Rick and Newt will end up endorsing Mitt to stop Obama, and I don’t blame them for that.
Too bad we don’t have a conservative nominee, though, and it’s as frustrating as heck that we don’t.
Don’t bring Newt in to cover your POS candidate! He duped you all and you wouldn’t listen!
He’s all geared up to dupe some more people - he’s still in mitt’s back pocket as he’s a useful maggot.
Shut up! Don't you use 'WE' you mittbot! That is the only thing you have been saying from thread to thread you maggotbot! - carrying the maggots water is NOT what this site is about. Get lost!!!
please make sense
EVIL is unable to understand TRUTH! Evil only can make sense of evil. So go to your own kind - don't taint this place.
