So basically, I was exactly correct and you have no real response at all.
Also, when Perry dropped out I supported Newt - until it became obvious he wasn't going to win or force some brokered/contested convention. I am politically savvy enough to know when a politician is BSing about their chances of winning a race, when they are really just having some fun and raising some cash to pay off debt, and when they are really not "in it to win it". Newt can't win the nomination now, he can't stop Willard, and I am sure Gingrich knows both of those things perfectly well. I'd have preferred him just be honest and say, "hey, my campaign is 4 million bucks in the hole and I'd appreciate any donations you can send my way, in the meantime I will keep trying to get the message out for a little while longer".

Ditto that. When Mitt hits Texas, Perry will endorse him. They'd actually make a good team if Perry could get past the beating he took. He'd also be great in the Dept. of Energy. Or maybe in charge of eliminating the EPA.
