I don't know why Newt allows this discussion to happen on a primary day. I suspect he anticipates (hopes for) scenario 3(above), and he wants to counter Romney's victory speech tonight in NH with a proclamation that the voters are experiencing buyer's remorse with Romney.

But, he first needs the vote in Delaware- and I don't see how it helps to have the day's focus on whether or not he will withdraw.

Well, hopefully he'll catch a break.

I'm in, til Newt's out.

Because the romney campaign, sometimes in conjunction with Santorum supporters, are doing this kind of stuff everywhere, and the grassroots have an added burden of trying to put these kinds of rumors to rest... they are trying to put out the fires - alot of it by Twitter.. they have put some of it to rest well enough.

This is going on everywhere, even in Texas, where many people thought Newt had dropped out based on the romney rumor of Friday night with the MSM complicity...

Well, so far, Newt’s doing darn well in Delaware ...only 1% in but he’s at 37% vs Romney 46 ...

Go Newt!!!!!!!!!!!
