Many English language dictionaries disagree with your assessment and list “payed” as a verb: “A past tense and a past participle of pay”.

OMG. You are projecting your own emotions on me. If you read my post with any comprehension, you would know that I said it doesn't feel good to me to point out others shortcomings, etc. In fact, I hate it and have never done it in all 12 years of posting on FR.
