Cops just don’t “not press charges” in gun assault cases involving an aggrieved spouse and a cheating partner unless there were unusual circumstances mitigating against said charges)

I would imagine that if she "shot" her husband for messing around, it couldn't have been too serious. He presumably stood up for her and used his influence as a LEO to defuse the situation.
