" Cavuto said, theorizing that spouses will fight over who forgot to charge their Volt overnight."

These sort of B.S. comments do not help. If the Volt isn't charged, it becomes a gasoline-powered car, instead of an EV. You could still drive it to work. The remark could apply to pure Electric Vehicles -- one of which, the Volt is not.

There's plenty to criticize the Volt for -- starting with the subsidies for buyers, the massive subsidies for GM, the high initial cost, and the (likely) high cost of battery replacement. Stick to those (and other valid) criticisms -- leave the bogus comments out.

After the battery runs out, the Volt gets 35 MPG, on PREMIUM Gas, which is .20 cents higher in cost per gallon than Regular Gas.

The Prius costs half what a Volt costs, runs on Regular Gas, seats five instead of the Volt's four and gets 50 MPG.

The numbers tell me everything I need to know.
