The only way you can avoid breaking one of the many laws in the books, is to stay in bed in the morning. If you tried crossing the street in front of your house, you may be breaking some local, state, or federal law, that you may never have heard about.

Did you really think we want those laws observed? said Dr. Ferris. We want them to be broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against... We’re after power and we mean it... There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system, Mr. Reardon, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with. (’Atlas Shrugged’ 1957)

Speaking as a Prosecutor of 25 years ... yes absolutely. And shame on anyone that supported the Patriot Act. That one Act has turned our Government into our adversary.

You had better check into any laws that may be broken by not getting out of bed...

This case actually is very similar to the famous murder case of the “trigger happy” British troops that were represented in their trial by John Adams. They were found not guilty.

There is also the “tyranny of the self righteous” in seeing everyone’s behavior, diet and beliefs other than your own as criminal somehow. Mayor Bloomberg is the obvious example.

Under Obama our greatest threat of tyranny is his use of executive orders and regulations that he and his administration can establish by royal edict. The EPA and the NLRB, just for example, have become imperial monsters doing the bidding of his royal lowness.

Does the Government Have the Ability to Turn All Americans into Criminals?

It already has.

Have the ability?

Got news for you: This government - independent of whether or not it's controlled by Democrats or Republican's seems to find new ways daily to make each and every one of us criminals.

Congress and the White House have for years believed their "productivity" is based on the number of laws they pass each year.

I view each law they pass as an infringement on our personal liberties.

I would hope most right-thinking American's would agree with that statement, sadly I seem to be in an ever diminishing crowd.

I used to think I’d end my days in prison for being pro-life.

But, now I think it’ll be because the government somehow knows I “think” homosexuality is a sin.

Too bad even that isen’t even true anymore. You have to behave as the Government wants or your “breaking a law”. Inactivity is a chargeable offence in Massachusetts, and if Obamacare stands everywhere else.

The present government of theses united States, like the Government of Massachusetts sees us as nothing more than serfs, a form of slave.

Why, yes . . . the government can turn us all into criminals. But that also means the converse, the government itself is a criminal conspiracy. And, unless you are a total government drone, you know that you are vastly outnumbered by all of those criminals you have manufactured. The brighter drones will understand this, but the older and fatter and tenured drones will not.

The idiots controlling the government drones actually want a Civil War 2 in America so they can implement their Socialist-Marxist utopia. Civil wars are not civil. Once you let the worms out of the can, there is no way to re-can them. There is also no way to know which way the fight will go, either. Another question for Obama: how many of your government thugs can you really depend upon to wage war on America's citizens?
