You’re right. Much better to have a Leviathion of a Federal government that can trash the 4th and 5th Amendments, militarize every podunk police department in the country, fund pet shooting SWAT teams, and seize cash from travellers without charging them with any crime at all, let alone actually convicting them of anything.

The there’s the side benefit of hang murderous gangs getting into the drug trade so they can shoot 6 year olds sitting on their front porch while they defend their turf.

I’m so glad we have Mommy Fed there to tell adults what they can and cannot put into their own bodies. I mean look at how bad the legalized and regulated alcohol trade is now. Why we have the Jonny Walker Gang shooting it out with the Jack Daniels Gang every sindgle weekend in my neighborhood.

And don’t even get me started on the Capt. Morgan crew and their bloody feud with the Bacardi Boys. What a bloody mess that is...

I sure hope they don’t legalize drugs. I really don’t want to become a drug addict.

This post does not even begin to address the negative consequences of drug use. On the other hand, a position in favor of prohibition does not eliminate the negative outcomes you have described, either.

All rights come with corresponding duties. If an individual has a legal right to purchase and consume a drug of choice, he also has an obligation to avoid doing physical or financial harm to others, including taxpayers, in the process.

How can this responsibility best be imposed upon the person who claims the liberty?
