.Gov. Brian Schweitzer, talking Friday to a national news website, said Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney might shy from talking about his familys Mexican roots because they came from a polygamy commune in Mexico.
Schweitzer made the remark in an interview with The Daily Beast, a news and opinion website, after being asked whether Montana might be a swing state during this years 2012 election.
According to The Daily Beast, Schweitzer said Montana likely would vote for Romney, but that Romney, a Mormon, might have trouble nationally because his father, George Romney, was born on a polygamy commune in Mexico.
Schweitzer, a Democrat, said later that he wasnt misquoted, and that his comments had nothing to do with Romneys faith or his church, which does not condone polygamy.
Schweitzer said he was describing the dilemma facing Romney, who is in trouble with Hispanic voters because he took an ultra-right-wing position on immigration during the (Republican) primary.

No mormons fought in the Revolutionary War, there where no mormons until 1830.
No kidding? So, what's your point?
psst, you need to re-examine your genealogy........really you do.
psst, where's the error? Really, show us!
Romney said I have always been pro-life, when he for decades has supported pro-abortion groups, and legislation.
We all know that, so what does that have to do with his family serving in the military?
You say I am not a Romney supporter BUT..... Sorry anything after the BUT is misdirection.
Really? How so?

Are you trying to say that no Mormons had ancestors who fought in the Revolutionary War? Are you serious? Mitt Romney's 4th great grandfathers Amos Stanton & Seth Kellogg were both Revolutionary War Patriots.

You said Romney’s mormon family served in the Revolutionary War.
Mitt did not serve.
George did not serve.
Grandfathers did not serve.
Great grandfathers did not serve.
Really, explaining what a flip flop.
You keep stating you are not a Romney supporter, yet spend time and words defending him, therefore “I am not a Romney supporter but.........” misdirection or lie if you prefer.
You want to support the liberal called Romney be my guest, I do not support liberals.

Interesting since the Mitt Romneys came to the US in the 1830s to join up with Joseph Smith.
That is not what you said said you said mormons fought in the Revolutionary War, you may have misstated, I’ll give you that.

You said Romneys mormon family served in the Revolutionary War.
Stop your lies. Where did I say that? Please don't change my words.
The fact remains that Mitt's ancestor's
Seth Kellogg and
Amos Stanton were both Revolutionary War Patriots!
You keep stating you are not a Romney supporter, yet spend time and words defending him, therefore I am not a Romney supporter but......... misdirection or lie if you prefer.
DON'T CALL ME A LIAR, AGAIN! If you want to remain ignorant, then fine, but DO NOT EVER CALL ME A LIAR!

If you were not the person who said mormons served in the Revolutionary War, I apologize, I thought it was you.
I did not call you a liar, I said “misdirection or liar if you prefer”.
I will stand by my first statement that you are spending a lot of time defending Romney when you claim not to support him.
If you are just misdirecting, ok.

Mitt Romney wasn't born until 1947 and his Romney ancestors didn't come to this country until the 1840's. You can't get anything right, can you?

Ok, here is what I said.
Mitt Romney did not serve.
George Romney did not serve.
Mitt’s grandfathers did not serve.
Mitt’s great grandfathers did not serve.
Before that they were not in this country.

Mitt Romney did not serve.
Did you?
George Romney did not serve.
He was ten years old during WWI. He was working for a U.S. Senator in 1930 and had a family a couple years later. About 90% of the people living in this country did not serve in WWII.
Mitts grandfathers did not serve.
Neither did mine. Gaskell was almost 50 years old during WWI and Harold LaFount probably wasn't drafted because he had four daughters to support.
Another lie. Charles Robison served under Cpt. Jonathan Page. His wife Rosetta received a Civil War widow's pension.
Mitts great grandfathers did not serve.
Are you sure about that?
Before that they were not in this country.
and the lies just keep on coming! like I already said and provided DAR links to, at least two of his ancestors were Patriots of the Revolutionary War.
