This is the kind of information I was looking for. Thanks, GingerC.
I have no idea what you believe regarding embryonic stem cells and ‘hartvesting’ embryos for their body parts, but here is the position Hatch has repeatedly taken. He states flatly that an embryo is not human until it implants in a human body. of course that position leaves a huge gap in logic and science is int he process of exploiting such gaps that hatch has become notorious for. Nearly a decade ago the Japanese embryo researchers were able to gestate a goat fetus to birth age in an artificial womb. When (not if, when) hscientists do this with a human embryo, what will Orrin Hatchling’s position look like then? If it were possible for Orrin to lay that idiocy off on ignorance, well we could forgive his stupidity. But ten years ago Orrin was one of more than two dowzen Senators to whom a lengthy explanation of embryonic life was sent, and he has been updated regularly on the developments in cloning, embryonic stem cell exploitation, and abortion. Orrin Hatch is duplicitous, in the main.
