Well, that generation voted mostly for the expansion of benefits. Remember when “senior citizens” were the precious voting block? BTW, I was in my teens in the 70’s and could not vote yet. I’m a baby boomer.

Yes. They wanted the government to take care of their parents (so they did not have to) and themselves as well. My grandfather, born in 1907, never wanted anything from anyone and was proud of the fact he never got a dime from anyone.

BTW, I was in my teens in the 70’s and could not vote yet. I’m a baby boomer.

Same here. Born in 56.
