Well there you go again herding everyone born between 1945 and 1964 into a “group” of numb skulls that wanted Government to be the ultimate provider. They used this generation mostly because never in history had so many young adults and married couples both worked. This allowed SS and Medicare to grow by trillions of dollars. They were so vapidly wanting to get their hands on these trillions they voted these laws to expand the benefits to millions. Why not? The boomers won’t be retiring for another 30 years or so right? Well, the old can they’ve been kicking down the road is now bouncing back at them. Let’s blame the boomers right?

Did it ever occur to you that these laws have mostly been written and voted on by that lovely “Greatest” generation like Pelosi, Bush 1 and 2 and the likes of the famous Kennedy Klan. You think Harry Reid is a baby boomer? Think again young one. We were and still are all screwed!

Actually you are right in that I should have included the Silent Generation, my parents generation, as they started it all. I do not blame the WWII generation, because they did not massively expand the Federal Government which basically started accelerating in the 70s.

The WWII generation won the war, rebuilt Europe, payed the debt of the war off in 7 years, and left for their children (the Silent Generation), the most prosperous country the world had ever seen.

The other thing to note is that when you run deficits, you can do something about it. Change the laws, fix the problem. That is one thing the post WWII generations have been completely inept at. No matter what the people scream about, the leaders of the Federal Government are responsible for their inaction in the face of these issues and the growing of the role of the Federal Government, most of which has happened in the last 40 years.
