BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Newt Gingrich, GOP candidate for president, just finished up a Buffalo rally organized by developer and former gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino, a fellow Republican. He asked for supporters' votes in next week's presidential primary.
"We need your vote on Tuesday. I am the underdog," he said.
Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania suspended his campaign last week, but he is still on the ballot. Tuesday was the last day for candidates to submit documentation to the state Board of Elections to invalidate his candidacy, a spokesman for the agency said. Because of that, the votes for him Tuesday will be counted.

I SAW GINGRICH DOWNTOWN IN BUFFALO NY TODAY (I GOT HIS AUTOGRAPH ON A LAWN SIGN)
HE IS *NOT* FOLDING HIS TENT
HE WAS FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HE IS REDOUBLING HIS EFFORT SINCE NOW THERE IS ONLY ROMNEY AND A REAL CONSERVATIVE TO VOTE FOR, NOT DIVIDE UP THE CONSERVATIVE VOTES 5 WAYS
What I’d like to hear about is Herman Cain’s rally in Wa;shington last Monday. anyone?
I wish we could somehow get Newt in the White House.
He is probably the only person who could REALLY deal with the size of government.
I happened to be up in Buffalo today for a training class. Really, really wanted to head over to Ellicott Square for Gingrich’s rally but didn’t think the trainer would look kindly on it. Nonetheless, I get to cast my protest Gingrich vote Tuesday.
