I bled more when I was a kid and Ricky (NOT my friend/NOT anybody’s friend/he was a bully) slammed my head against a slide.
Zimmerman is probably a little heavier than you were as a kid. The fat between the skull and the skin would act as padding and reduce the skin damage in the same situation.
