You could just as easily say that it's the poor putting Obama over the top. Last survey I saw, Obama and Romney (didn't see a generic GOP candidate) were split pretty evenly at all income levels EXCEPT below $50,000, where Obama has an edge, but not as big of an edge as he had over McCain in 2008.

Actually, I think there is in every election, a gender gap, I mean. The GOP gets painted as the bogeymen who want to make children starve, and let granny die alone, and a lot of women, every ethnicity, buy into it. It is changing, though, at least I hope so.
