Pete Stark’s political consultant Alex Tourk sent out this email today to apologize to Alameda County Deputy District Attorney Eric Swalwell. Stark’s bad, as The Chronicle’s Carla Marinucci reported: He accused Swalwell, who serves on the Dublin city council, of accepting “hundreds of thousands” in bribes — even though Stark could not substantiate the charge.
Here’s the statement:
“I misspoke the other evening when I made allegations against my opponent for taking bribes and for that I apologize.“Stark gives bumbling, dyspeptic old fools who say stupid things a bad name.”Yet I do have concerns about my opponent’s behavior. . . .

Is this the original Pete Stark; or is it his son? Seems like if he’s the original, he would have been on life support the last 15-20 years.
Nice job of Stark’s constituents of keeping that arrogant, atheist old POS in Congress.
It’s a safely Dem district, so I’m glad it elects someone who makes his party look bad.
As long as his district re-elects this embarassment, they are certifiable lunatic libs. And they can save the psychologists’ fees.
