Very true,, I know it pains people here,,, but marriage is a bad bad deal for a man. Its a contact solely designed to ensure you get a good solid financial raping at divorce time.
I understand the emotions and religious implications,, but imagine a contract where you agree to a joint venture in business with someone. And there were clauses that started that the other party could break the contact at any time, for any reason, and in most states,, no reason need be given. At that point they get half the business, even if they did very little to make it successful. And then they get a salary for several years,, sometimes forever.
Its so one sided that its insane.

To inject a bit of levity here, my wife and I were in a store over the weekend and saw a poster of a man in a tux holding a diamond ring in his hand. Underneath it, it said:

"A Diamond is Just a Piece of Coal That Did Well Under Pressure. A Husband is a Man Who Didn't."

We both laughed pretty heartily at that...:)

As much as the majority of people don't want to acknowledge this, it is true.

In the bigger picture, men are generally builders and warriors, women are reasons for building and combat, and men will engage when the reasons are worthwhile.

Quickly building becomes a society, and combat becomes protection, and the reasons are still worthwhile.

Looking a little farther, women are also similar to society, culture, and nation, men will support and protect that which is worthwhile. Note that in western languages major constructs (nations, societies, ships, buildings ect) are assigned the feminine pronoun for reference.

Men build and protect entire civilizations for women.

The big problems come when a large number of women become unworthy of the effort, there is much less motivation to produce and protect. Finally, if a man is not allowed to keep enough of his production for himself to make his life bearable, the societal construct will not be maintained or protected, then we start over.

Romantic, isn't it, I expect to hear from the gals shortly.

Yep you can come home from work and find her in your bed with the pool boy Hot Balls Gonzalez and if you divorce she gets paid for doing that to you...gee wonder why men don't want to marry??
