For over a decade, poll after poll has shown that three-quarters or more of Minnesotans want everyone to show photo ID at the polls. It is disconcerting to hear DFL leaders claim that this is a partisan issue, because there is, in fact, very little difference among rank-and-file Republicans, Democrats or Independents on it.

Minnesota's photo ID amendment could very well receive one of the highest total votes of any constitutional amendment ever passed, thereby making it among the most bipartisan measures ever adopted in our state.

Same-day voter registration is an important aspect of Minnesota's election system. In any given election, about 15 percent to 20 percent of voters will register on Election Day.

Is this statement even remotely true? One in five or six are same day registrations?

Gov. Mark Dayton, Secretary of State Mark Ritchie and DFL legislators have repeatedly said that passing a constitutional amendment requiring people to show photo ID to vote would end "same-day" voter registration. This is completely untrue.

I hope it *is* true."Same day registration" and "Motor Voter" are two huge features of the voter fraud industry.Get you a$$ down to City Hall..BEFORE the election...show ID (including proof of citizenship and voila!,just show up on polling day, show your ID and you're golden.Folks here have done it for 200+ years.

But the Party that openly demands that convicted felons should be allowed to vote somehow have a problem with this simple, well tested, routine.I wonder why!

Voter ID, Ok so sine. Now what about absentee ballots?

And what about those that count the votes?

Wasn’t it some sort of vote counting irregularity that put Franken in the lead?

I can think of 3 high profile elections here in Washington State that were stolen by absentee ballots and irregular vote counting.

That notion that requiring a photo ID to vote would disenfranchise any significant number of Minnesota voters is ludicrous. It would be almost impossible to live in Minnesota, or anyplace else, without having a photo ID. A photo ID is required for just about everything from paying by check, buying liquor, beer or cigarettes, getting a fishing license or even obtaining food stamps and welfare benefits. The only people who would be deterred from voting by requiring a legal photo ID are illegal aliens, inmates in prisons or other persons wanting to illegally vote.

Since many states are issuing driver’s licenses to illegals, I don’t want that document used for voter ID registration.

I still do not support same day registration, nor do I support Motor Voter laws.

You are basing the second part-—the priviledge to vote-—upon a first part that allows illegals to participate.

2 wrongs don’t make a right!!!
