This is why I believe the MOST important ‘election’ is that of the House and Senate. TRUE conservatives would nix the ‘Czar’ habit our gov’t has developed.
I'm pretty sure there's not much they can do about it. They've blocked some of Obama's, until he did recess appointments. The idea that they're actually going to block a Republican president's choices is as far-fetched as they come. And I expect Romney to out-czar them all. Let's not forget Pam Bondi already promised she's going to be the "Health Care Task Force" czar under Romney. Do we need a "Health Care Task Force?" Romney is as power-hungry as they come and is going to expand the executive branch as far as the eyes can see. This is why electing a conservative president is as important as electing a conservative Congress. The president is the leader of the party and it's not likely his own party will oppose him on anything unless it creates a huge uproar. There is NO reason whatsoever to be excited or optimistic about a Romney administration. IF Obamacare gets overturned in full, then I would quite possibly feel more secure with a conservative Congress gridlocking Obama.
Not to mention the way Romney would fog what “left-wing” and “right-wing” really means in the eyes of the public is downright frightening. Like how he calls Romneycare a “conservative” solution. The way he would change the meaning of those terms is totally Obama-esque. And 4 or 8 years of that would present a messaging nightmare for conservatives trying to differentiate and market their policies to the public. Mitt Romney is a terrifying enemy and an existential threat to the very idea of conservatism.
