You are absolutely correct.
Sometimes a “bad” word is necessaary to make a point with certain people. It gets their attention.
I think most in that audience (those laughing and making light of what she was saying) needed that little tap on the chest to wake them up and realize the seriousness of what she was saying.
Yes. I often do the same (please see my last post on the Beck thread.). I use that offensiveness and directness to make several points. As a writer and poet I know that words work on different levels not just just just on our logical areas. My husband ironically is the example of proper ness and propriety. :). I drive him crazy sometimes. Yet I am a writer and a writer influences and hopefully jars others awake at times on multiple levels.
