Didn’t I read somewhere that prostitution is legal in Columbia?
If so, then no laws were broken and a reprimand for career-ending stupidity should be adequate. Underage (by which country’s laws?) is another issue.
What mystifies me is why this whole episode allegedly exploded because some hooker was supposedly screaming about being stiffed (pun intended) out of $47. That’s chump change!
When your career, your family, your marriage and the reputation of your country are on the line, I’d say pay the damn $47 (whether she earned it or not) and let her walk.

The guys had single accommodation rooms.
Visitors had to sign in, and the ladies did, and be out by 7:30 AM. Some did not and the front desk wanted to collect for double occupancy. They were hitting up the ladies as the left after 7:30.
This is what started the whole exposure. Some of the ladies got pissed when they tried to get their johns to pay the hotel bill.
