Birther pranks, disinformation and misinformation, no matter how often debunked, get repeated and revived. And I have seen the Hendrix as baby daddy offered as a reasonable possibility by birthers in the past. It doesn't matter that Cashill was goofin'.

This prank still gets posted from time to time as authentic...

Birthers are afraid if they pull on a small thread, the whole thing will start to unravel, so unfortunately, too few are willing call a stupid story "stupid".

This article offers less proof of it's assertion than Dan Rather did for Bush's National Guard story. We shouldn't be less skeptical just because someone tells us a story we want to hear.
