Mitt Romney leads President Obama in the first Gallup national daily tracking poll.
Romney took 47 percent support from surveyed registered voters, while Obama took 45 in a poll conducted between April 11 and April 15. Romney's edge though is within the poll's three point margin of error.
Independents tipped the scale in favor of Romney, going for the former Massachusetts governor 45 percent to 39.

Brown Deer seems to know one word to call everyone that doesn’t walk in lock step with her/him: Moron. Welcome to the club. I think I’ve been called it 3 or 4 times. People resort to name calling when they lack true solutions or ideas. Next, you will be reported to Jim Robinson, for something Brown Deer creates in her head after reading a post.
you good ol’ boys, go vote for Mittens the ABORTIONIST!
yes, help him murder some more babies ;-)
you like those homos? then go vote for Mittens!
SHAME ON YOU, campaigning for Romney on FR!
No, my answer is to get a Republican convention to nominate a conservative. Can’t you read? Or are you wearing blinders?
Who do you think runs the convention and is chosen to be a delegate? The same people that will have helped Romney get his needed number of delegates by about June 5th. All of the previous candidates will have endorsed him, most already have, with even Newt hinting an Endorsement is coming. Call them GOP-e or whatever the hell you want, there will be no convention revolt! But all of you that insist Newt will still come out on top, I say again I will personally donate $1,000 to his campaign if that happens. I am not a Romneybot but a realist. I am not campaigning for him. But ABO! We can't survive 4 more years of Obama!
And this chart, among many, many other reasons, is why I can’t give Mitt Trotsky my unconditional support. Regardless of what the media says, there are still two other candidates running. It’s not over until Michael Moore sings.
(No, I’m not voting for RuPaul.)
Excuse me, Mr. Realist!
Romney hasn’t been nominated yet, and nothing is inevitable except death and taxes. A lot can happen between now and the convention in Tampa this coming August.
Shame on you for not finding a Pro-life, 100% Conservative candidate that can win and defeat Abortionist Obama. This is all on your hands.
Now that is what your posts come across like. Why didn't you just get out there and get us a different candidate?
And no, not that much will happen in 4 months. The system is set up, or some may say rigged, to keep that from happening. A brokered convention in this day and age with 24 hour news coverage would be an Obama convention.
And Have Nice Day
Since the 90’s I have fought my butt off for conservative causes. In college I worked as a counselor and talked countless girls out of getting abortions and still get sent pictures of some of these children, some who are in college now. I volunteered for the position because I knew girls were going to the counseling center over pregnancy and suicide issues and I wanted to help. The counseling center never should have hired me, I was a Political Science/History major with an Anthropology minor. But they thought it was free help and I'd just send them off to get abortions— not. I've adopted a baby that would most certainly have been left to die if a police officer had not found her and saved her and then at great expense I traveled half way around the world to adopt her. I left a lucrative job to be a stay at home mom to someone elses kids or they would have been sent to foster care. Then I stayed home with my own kids until they were a little older and I then created a flexible work schedule. I have an MS in Education but didn't use it to join a teachers union, but to help other kids at my own expense. Don't you ever call me an abortionist. And after the children are born I don't forget about them then either. I drive a minivan not because I like them —I'm more of a Ford Explorer type of mom, but I can fit more kids in the van and take them to EC’s and school when their single mothers are busy. Friday I get to watch a high school baseball game where 3 kids from one team and two from the other have lived at my house for a while until their parents got it together. I helped them with school and got them involved in sports to learn discipline, self responsibility, leadership. They all made Varsity and I will cheer for each one of them. Now yell at me for taking both sides of an issues. Geesh. The crap I have dealt with in my life trying to convince people of the conservative way of life, working on local campaigns, and you call me a freaking abortionist! You're a judgmental witch.
Where did I call you an abortionist Mr. MacFluke? Are you on drugs?
I haven't even voted in a Primary yet but look at the stats and the Primary is over, and I can't live with Obama for four more years. I'm starting to think some of you want Obama so you can bring on the Apocalypse or something. It's like his TelePrompter has been hypnotizing people around here lately.
Then you say you never called me an abortionist and ask me if I am on drugs.
No, I am not on drugs, nor responsible for any abortions, but maybe you should be on drugs, perhaps some psychotropic ones.
Your last graphic abortion poster is filled with Obama pictures and quotes about his sick views on abortion. I have not heard you go after Obama's disgusting record once in this whole conversation.
Down Ticket means Senators, Reps and state and local elections.
Were I voting GOP all the way down, that would be called straight ticket voting. But you’re the own educating me, right? Have you read any of the posts on this site?
oh, and what have you called me Mr. MacFluke?
