Jim:

There was a time not too many months ago when you referred to Newt as something like "marginally preferable.....barely acceptable as a conservative"

Glad to see you've come round.

My initial reaction to Newt was knee jerk like many others due to his so-called baggage. But after our conservatives began dropping out, I took a fresh look at Newt, his record as a Reagan Revolutionary fighter and conservative leader of the house with many great conservative ACCOMPLISHMENTS, then studied his website and his vision for restoring constitutional government and restoring our Liberty and wished I’d done that review earlier.

He’s the only one who recognizes that to save America we must literally GUT the unconstitutional federal behemoth!! And he wants to do exactly that. GUT it!! Return the power to the states and the people!!

The libs and RINOS tremble in fear and so Newt must be destroyed!!

Romney admitted the other day that he has no interest in drastically cutting the government or taming the beast or drastically cutting our taxes. Just wants to cut the borrowing. Says government should only spend what it brings in (and presumably all of that). No mention of cutting it down to size. No mention of cutting spending down to only those items enumerated in the constitution. No mention of defending our rights or the constitution. Romney has a nasty habit of not cutting spending, not cutting government, but raising “revenues” to cover instead. He’s a “read my lips” kind of guy.
