Mitt Romney went well beyond his standard stump speech at a closed-door fundraiser on Sunday evening, and offered some of the most specific details to date about the policies he would pursue if elected. In a speech to donors in the backyard of a private home here, the former Massachusetts governor and presumptive GOP presidential nominee outlined his plans to potentially eliminate or consolidate federal agencies, win back Latino voters and reform the nation's tax code.

Every single quote from Romney in that article contains the word “probably” or “might” or both. The issues that he was not quoted on are immigration and other liberal issues (I’ll bet he didn’t use the word “maybe” for those).
Romney was seen carrying an itch-a-sketch into the meeting...
I am with him on eliminating Federal agencies (though I doubt he has the balls to actually carry it out)
Reagan couldn’t do it when fewer agencies existed and they were nowhere near as entrenched. Government will continue its growth path under Romney.
Romney said the GOP must offer its own policies to woo Hispanics, including a "Republican DREAM Act"..."would offer illegal immigrants a limited path to citizenship"

"My views are progressive." - Mitt Romney MORE OF LIBERAL MITT'S RECORD:

If you want to make a dent in the Hispanic vote, here’s how.
Start running SuperPAC ads in Spanish on Spanish radio about the Trayvon Martin case, and how a Hispanic is being railroaded, and how Obama has apparently sided with the Black Panthers against him.
That will get ya more Hispanic votes than any phony amnesty plan.
He’s uh lyuhn....
Any bets on how long he’ll go before flip-flopping again?
HEY ROMNEY!
Look us in the eye,
And never, EVER lie!
If you mean what you say,
Then say what you mean!
Stand and deliver
What you plan to do,
In case you haven’t noticed,
No one likes you.
Our line in the sand,
Puts your “Romney Road to Ruin”
Alongside “Obama’s Wrong Track.”
So stop your damned “Smiley-Face,”
And attack, Attack, ATTACK!
We will oppose you in Tampa,
For what you lack,
We want America to be back
On the Constitution Track.
Do you have it in you?
I doubt that you do,
You see a Pinko future,
And we see Red, White and Blue.
Same old Romney message. Nothing new, all of these are Republican ideas. Here's my take: Romney wants to be president - so he can be president. That's it. He has no real policy approaches of his own. He has no real vision for America. He lacks the kind of broad societal vision that encompasses all or even most Americans. He also shows no depth of understanding global issues. Instead, like GW Bush, he is only looking at domestic changes he can make, ignoring the reality of the world and America's sworn enemies. This was a fatal flaw in Bush's presidency - the 9-11 attack threw him and his agenda for a loop and he never could get back on track (even though he finally had the support of American public right after 9-11). That he doesn't seem as narrow-minded as Bush is because he has no ideology of his own - which is just as scary as one who does.
I totally agree with that sentiment. I think he wants to vindicate his dad after his embarassing run for POTUS with the
“brain washed” comment and on top of that to be the first Mormon POTUS. The GOP is just another tool he can use to accomplish that goal.
I’m holding out hope that he maybe learned a little from the attacks on prior candidates, to hold off? Candidates like Obama, who really didn’t want to talk in public what he really wanted to do?
If we’re stuck with him as a candidate, I would at least hope he’s smart enough to know not to waste his ammo before the whites of the eyes come into view. This article at least gives me hope.
“I am with him on eliminating Federal agencies”
He has said he won’t name them because the list wouldn’t be long enough for Conservatives. Also if he were to name them someone would actually expect him to do it and he wouldn’t be able to deny that he said he would do it, but of course he has a history of denying things he’s previously said or done.
