Iranian women aren’t required to wear burkas. They can wear pants & a long jacket (manteau) and head scarf.
However, things are more relaxed on the ski slopes. You wouldn’t know you were in Iran

I was aware of that.

I have read reports that things are becoming more strict in Iran lately.

I have read of the morality police roaming about and beating women who show too much skin.
