Also true. I have first hand experience with a fake GOP official trying to organize our little informal local group. He wanted one of us to "be a leader" and wanted names for contact lists and fundraising purposes. We all got the impression that he was poking around to get a sense of who could be bought but we're an informal group which means no leader to co opt. He himself was a Mitt Romney fan and wanted to drive the crazies out.

Where I live the ideals of the Taxed Enough Already folks is a bit dormant...but we’re here. I never thought of the movement as an organized entity. IMHO those in the media or those in politics who tried to pretend there was any organization surrounding the movement were either wrong or they were trying to co-opt the mantle. I don’t trust media and I don’t trust most politicians....R’s or D’s.

I do think people are tired of the yelling and screaming by pol’s on both sides. I know I’m tired of it. But I also believe...this is the lull before the storm. I gotta feeling it’s going to get much nosier after Labor Day. Until then...I think it’s just drip, drip, drip of Romney this and Obama that. Blech.
