Amid Democrat attempts to use the Trayvon Martin shooting as a means to push for the repeal of Stand Your Ground laws, its been interesting to note how many Democrats have a past that includes support for them.
For example, on April 2nd, I had a post on Big Government that highlighted how former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, a Democrat, used her Current TV show to lambaste Stand Your Ground laws, and to blame Republicans for the existence of such laws in the first place. However, as I showed, the dirty little secret is that Granholm signed Michigans Stand Your Ground bill into law in 2006.
Now its been discovered that an even more prominent Democrat, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, signed Arizonas Stand Your Ground bill into law while governor of that state in 2006. That’s one ugly man!
And she profiles hoodies.
Granholm shows the advantage of a weak governor. She didn’t want to sign gun laws but she had little choice.
The scary thing is that she looked more natural with the gun than John Kerry.
LOL - sad, but true. Uncle Janet has always made me nervous.
LOL! That was the only good thing she did when she was AZ Gov.
(Hoarse Voice) “The border is secure”.
Jimmy Napolitano?
Yeah, yeah. So does my cat.
A recent article regarding a shooting in Washington revealed more than what was actually written. The coverage of the actual shooting I found secondary to the idea that burglars are being shot at a record rate across the area.
While I say this is all good, there is also a sense in the black community that they are losing alot of population and democrat voters.
Do these politicians really care if a citizen kills another thug? No it is the leverage to curtail the second amendment.
I see what you mean.
The Obama administration supports stand your ground!
