I’m starting to think that’s why he was charged with 2nd degree murder, rather than manslaughter or some such. There’s no way in hell they can get a conviction on 2nd degree unless there’s a lot we don’t know about what happened that night.

I have watched enough court drama on TV to know that the judge instructs the jury to convict on the count OR LESSER CHARGES. Could this happen here? If its an October surprise I hope it bites Obummer’s ass.

Based on the documents that Dershowitz was talking about, I'm starting to think that the reason the special prosecutor charged Zimmerman is because she's not very smart and is not a very good lawyer. She's probably not used to prosecuting defendants with an IQ above room temperature or sparring with good lawyers. If somebody told her to do this, they didn't think it through.
