I did not know it was / is illegal to write in candidates names on a ballot in Texas. My thought is this opens up the ballot for fraud. If a ballot is left blank in an election does this not open an opportunity for someone to mark the ballot for a choice, when the actual owner of that ballot did not make a choice?

I have no doubt there will be fraud in this election (a heap of fraud). This surprises me Texas has this law.

” - - - I did not know it was / is illegal to write in candidates names on a ballot in Texas. “

The election laws in Texas were changed to protect Party-Funded Candidates from being voted out by T.E.A. Party write-in voters.

My Congressman voted for TARP, won’t repeal the emergency room free medical treatment of illegal aliens, and won’t Impeach Obama.

So, three strikes and I always leave his office blank.

The ballot that I feed into the electronic ballot box instantly counts that I have voted, AND that my sorry Congressman got a big fat NONE OF THE ABOVE from me.
