Amen Jim. I have yet to see an article or post that explains the differences between obomba and romney; aside from their skin color of course.

Go Newt!

I am so glad Jim that you drew the line on being cheerleaders for the establishment, and progressive republicans that dress up like us Sheep Dogs of Society.

I have been a lurker here on FR since back when you first started. Being a old straight leg 11B I couldn’t find a single conservative among the crop of pretenders running this year. Gingrich is a progressive that can talk like a conservative (He no longer is the guy I have on tape back when he was a back bencher defending the Invasion of Grenada, and support for the Contra’s),Rick S. talks a conservative game at times but still loves big government even if I respect his character in many ways, Cain was a surface conservative but doesnt show a depth of understanding, Bachman conservative in some ways but smacks of a oppurtunist, Perry an establishment guy, and Romney a Bill Clinton politician.

I do wish people would stop bad mouthing peoples faith, makes me sometimes think the posters freelance here from the progressive left, the communist party, the National Socialist party, or occupy wallstreet. I am a Roman Catholic, and I still remember stories from my dad about signs in store windows saying “No dogs are Italians allowed”, because Protestants thought Catholics weren’t real christians. Don’t get me wrong I know my Church doesn’t have clean hands either. I personally don’t care what God a person worships aslong as their God doesn’t say kill people who worship differently then them.

Your right to say lets organize and get true conservatives in all parts of our government. We need to be a movement to return our country to a government bound and constrained by the constitution.

Will I vote for Romney? I can’t in good conscience not since I have children, and atleast with him it buys me time to affect change. Will I support him, no. I will fight him and try to bind him like the snake he and our government are, I know his poison is as deadly as Obama’s but not as fast acting. I pray to God that someday this country will once again restore the freedom that our ancestors once had and the “Greatest Generation” lost.

If we want conservatives to win primaries, we have to run a conservative...A conservative...singular. Watching a bunch of conservatives cannibalize our vote and then blaming the GOP-e because they backed a chameleon/opportunist like Romney is a losing proposition.

I have no love lost for the GOP. I backed Cain, backed Newt, and wished Palin would’ve gotten in. Unless something substantial happens at the Convention, we need to own our own mess (the conservative mess). We man/woman up and vote for Romney and figure out how to undermine stalking horses for the Romney/McCains and get a pre-convention convention to select OUR conservative and roll with her (Palin) or him.

We’re in this situation with Romney because we gave away the primary and failed to coordinate going into the game.

I do not expect all conservatives to agree, but staying home or voting for a hopeless, protest candidate would, for me, constitute abandoning a country I love and for which I served in the Armed Forces. I think Romney and a conservative Congress is far preferable to Obama and a conservative Congress.
