Thank you for this Jim. I keep saying the same thing and of course I get hate me stuff from people here. I have had several FReep mails that tell me I am stupid and I am allowing Obama to win if I do not vote for Scumney. But I will not. Period.
You are one dumb wuss. A vote for mitt is a stamped vote for barry. He's not winning any debate with him - you have some major pie in the sky thinking with NOTHING TO BACK IT! Vetting him will be a cake walk for the liberals - it's no contest. He has NOTHING to debate the one you fear the most with!! Get a grip man! You have been duped!
The only way one can put their country first is $upport NEWT!! It's that simple.
FUMR!!
We would be complaining if a true conservative got the nomination and then those who support Romney did not vote for our candidate in November. We have a process and sometimes you lose. I fear we will not have a country to recover from if we have 4 more years of Obama. I voted for Newt in the primary but will hold my nose and vote for Romney in November. Sorry but I am not cutting off my node to spite my face.
Disagree.
The GOP establishment elite gave us McCain which gave us Ubama.
The same GOP establishment elite is now trying to give us Mittens which will give us Ubama.
It is the definition of insanity - - doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
Jim, please start a thread with your analysis of third party options and/or how to recover the GOP.
“President Worse-Than-Carter, Lyndon Johnson, and FDR combined. “

I’m with you.
I won’t be voting FOR someone I’ll be voting AGAINST someone.
It may not be the way we like it,but it is what it is.
I'm not sure who the "they" is here. The people are the ones doing the voting and they are nominating the guy they are nominating.
The Bushes are the epitome of the GOP establishment. Rove would scooping dog dung if it weren’t for the Bushes.
Well, what’d you expect when you came into my house and slapped me in the face. Insult me, I insult you back.
Dang, more homework!
I know the guy is a lying backstabber - heck, he’d be kicked out of our conservative (HA!) party.
Seriously though, thank you for the links. May as well learn just how foul this guy is.
What you said!!! Romney is as an extreme left-wing liberal as any the Democrats have run and now the Republican Party is running Romney simply to stay in power. Well, screw them! They may lose this election to Obama but if they or the Democrats want my vote they had better run a decent candidate!
To those that say the Republic is doomed forever if Obama wins again, well, several things come to mind. First, if this nation is that weak then lets get Obama in and get this crap over with while I am still young enough to do something about it! Second, don’t bitch to me about not voting for a liberal Republican candidate; bitch to the Republican Party for allowing an extreme left-wing liberal to represent their party as their candidate.
I will vote this election but it will be for issues and candidates in federal, State and local elections that represent America and not the extreme left-wing liberal agenda that Romney and Obama represent.
It is a sad day to think the party of Reagan might nominate someone that is the polar opposite of Reagan; somebody that Reagan might have punched in the face.
WUSS! You bought their bait. ABO always means mitt - it was created just for him to win. They know the dumb@$$es who would fall for it.
GO NEWT!!
If Jim Robertson wants anyone who doesn't toe his line off of his forum, he can drop me a final FreepMail.
Newt was my choice and he got my vote in the NH primary. However, I will not throw away my vote on a "Conservative Party Candidate" this year to "send a message" to the GOP.
I will vote against Obama for the candidate most likely to win. I will then work for the next four years to stand-up a Conservative Party that will replace the GOP-E.
But, to not vote Obama out this year is not the way to go.
Okay Jim, I have had my say, now go ahead and throw me out. Show me that FR is as inclusive as the RAT Party.
Jim, what scares me though is that the leftists are PRAYING that they can split the opposition and get their man back in.
I don’t think Obama can’t get reelected otherwise.
It’s damn sad that all of the efforts of conservatives have come down to ... Romney!
Crystal clears and has been for years.
Do you intend to abstain from a presidential vote?
Me, I'm still worrying about it. Not voting helps Obama.
Because his folks WILL vote, you betcha.
As loathsome as the alternative may be, I'd hate to help Obama.
One vote doesn't matter much but I'd hate to look back from
total societal collapse and have to say I didn't vote against it.
Troubling, what?
Thank you! Great quote!
That's (in my opinion) the most important part of your post. I won't bother to argue with those who will vote for the lesser of two evils - again - but I would argue with anyone who wanted to stay home completely on election day. If, God forbid, we are stuck with Obama for another four years, then we need the most conservative possible Congress to bring his communist agenda to a screeching halt. If, God forbid, we switch to Romney for four to eight years, then we need the most conservative possible Congress to keep his socialist agenda from getting any legislative traction. We all have to vote in November, even if we despise the pro-abortion, anti-gun leftist at the head of the GOP ticket almost as much as we despise the pro-abortion, anti-gun leftist at the head of the Dem ticket - so that conservatives will determine the Congress and the state legislatures.
