Sounds like the liberal mindset has bit them good!
They're not legitimate questions. I'm engaging you because you asked a fairly direct one, not a straw man argument or simply a personal invective. My time is valuable to me; I don't have time, resources or the desire to answer every erratic post.
second, MR already abandoned the RPP with his GOV record. Place his actions side by side with the RPP and do the math.
That's a fair point. I consider the risk to be worth it in relation to the possible end of capitalism and the abandonment of Israel among other issues.
Third, Did you read JRs first post? Then why do you keep supporting Romney here?
I don't support Romney. Do you see me posting a thousand talking points about the great guy Mitt Romney is? I support ABO this time around. I have no choice; this is not about liberal vs. conservative; this is about the survival of the West.
Do you respect JRs edict or not? Yes or no.
Was it an edict? No one can say they're simply voting for the nominee? And if anyone answers caustic attacks, that makes them guilty of "supporting Romney here" but if they don't answer, then you attack them for not answering a "bunch of questions." Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
To: mmanager "Dont vote for Romney"
It is disingenuous or a flat out blatant lie, to state that Jim Rob or anyone else here is instructing you how to vote. That is your own decision.
If you have been following Jim's posts, I think he has stated two points as I understand them-
- He stated his own personal decision to not vote for Mitt. I know it rankles some of you, but that is his decision and he is free to do with his vote as he pleases.
- He stated that he does not want anyone using the resources of FreeRepublic to campaign for Mitt. Again he is free to make that decision for his website, as promoting a progressive goes against everything he has stood for all these years. It is also a good business decision, because that would dilute or spoil the brand of FreeRepublic. It is after all a website for conservatism, not conservatism and liberalism on alternate days.

Apparently, the poster above didn't understand the "edict" clearly. You may need to resend the memo. I haven't campaigned or advocated for Romney at all, nor have any of the others that are being attacked by the purists here as far as I can tell. Anything that states otherwise (regarding myself) is a blatant lie.
Exactly!
Also, Jim’s reply to me has been much more sensible and fair than most of those who are invoking his name.
Myself, I have never argued that it’s over or that we should accept defeat. I am heartened that Newt is still in the race and I believe everything may change in May.
No surprise there. That one was courting the lightning like nobody's business. Thanks.
My time is as well. If you cannot discern a relevant set of questions, then don’t waste mine.
Actually you just don’t want to answer them . Be honest.
Lastly, Arguing that ABO AKA Romney is an acceptable choice is support. A vote is by definition support. Why you remain insulated I have yet to determine.
I think it was more of a drunk-over .. LOL
That’s the best you can do?
“he doesn’t hate this country”.
Really??????
Oh yea. I’m in.
Ain’t no way he can’t win.
Nice car
Ah, I love those Bavarians
so meticulous
Y’know I remember when things were a lot more fun around here
When good was good and evil was evil
Before things got so fuzzy
I was once a golden boy like you
And I was summoned to the halls of power in the heavenly courts
And I dined with the deities who looked upon me with favor,
for my talents, my creativity
and we sat beneath the palms
in the warm afternoons and drank the wine
With Fitzgerald and Huxley.....
;)
Thanks for keeping my six, bud. I done already blamed that little kerfuffle on my friend Al Keehol ;-)
Then he will lose and will deserve to. There’s only so much nose holding I can do. Picking a Christie or Mitch Daniels would signal that he is indeed going to screw us all.
Gotta keep tabs. Soros’ orders ;)
Way to go, Newt! That's a very encouraging bit of news.
Now let us pray Palin gets on a few stages with him and Romney will blow apart..
Then let us pRey...
Heh...
Man, can you believe this thread? I haven’t seen one go this long in ages. I don’t think I made it past the 500’s.
It’s worse than the PDS wars in many cases. There it was whacked out libs on a vendetta. Here there are good people voluntarily abandoning their very faith just to chalk up one in the win column regardless of what that truly means.
Now there's a thought that quickens the pulse! Can you imagine what would happen if they announced her intention to run with him, should he win the nomination? Hoo boy!
Ok I give up. Who’s that?
The first car I drove was a BMW. 1972 2002. 4sp.
I just inherited several Drillings. Sauer and Son. One a luffwaffe drilling. They actually put these in planes as as survival gun during WW2. No wonder these crazy Krauts lost!
I have come to the conclusion that the more “cultured” and “refined” etc. you are the crazier u are. Course, we’re all nuts. Just at a different level.
I can't speak for you or how you will act in the upcoming election but for myself when dealing with a man like Romney I realize he will have to be Charlie Cristed.
He was a governor of Fla. We did light a huge fire under his ass. We did get rid of him./Now we have a gentleman named Marco Rubio.
In this election cycle I thoroughly supported Palin, then Newt and now as you so appropriately noted side with Rush and proclaim anyone but ozero.
Am I happy about the situation? Hell no.I wanted a conservative. Now the question is am I a sore loserman? Will that help or hinder a long term conservative cause? For me I fight for the long haul.
Muslims get it. They fight 50/100, 500 year wars and never give up even when we kick their ass over and over.
If we start giving up, start claiming our guy didn't get in so we won't vote. We can feel good about our selves but to me that's always been a liberal tendency to go with ones "feelings".
My biggest concern after the next election is who gets in and what potential we have to influence the new potus. IMHO, we will not influence ozero at all.
I think differently about Romney.I think we have the potential to influence what he does.
Will it be 100% of the time, 70% of the time? I just don't know. But I do surmise that we have a better chance at doing what we do best here on FR of leading the horse to water with Romney than with ozero. Just my opinion.
And that's what makes it so hard to stay with the discussion. I feel like I'm being assaulted with treason all around me. I can only take so much of that, before I've got to take a breather. It's just hard to bear.
