I DID vote for Newt and I still have some hope that something will happen and he will be the nominee. However if he isn’t, it’s ABO for me. Sorry.
You’re posting on an old thread to people who have been **zotted**.
There there is nothing to be sorry for then - you did all you could and I, too, have hope that something will happen.
However, hoping for one thing while planning to do another counteracts 'hope'. Having plan B in your pocket is really showing a lack of faith in your hope. God is the God of the impossible and He only moves by faith - and having Plan B if HE doesn't move shows belief in your hopw and not HIM.
In other words, is there 'any' reason one would renege on their beliefs? If there is, how strong is it if it is filled with unbelief! People have been/are killed because of their faith - and us? We aren't there yet but it does show how easily some are willing to give it up through fear. How many politicians 'this election' have done so or did they ever have faith - or only as an election tool.
It's impossible for me to go against my beliefs - I know too much and been through too much where HE has shown His faithfulness and no matter what - He will never leave nor forsake me. If the world crumbles, I KNOW I will be safe, maybe not comfortable but I WILL have HIS peace. I KNOW, been through it and He is the same God and as time goes on things will only 'look' more scarier to me - but never to God! It's faith in HIM He honors, not fear of what man can do.
Anyway, that's my rant - people can only do what they are equipped to do and I am well equipped and it has nothing to do with me but HIM alone! Faith without works is dead and I am actively living my faith by believing in HIM and no other! And my supporting and voting for Newt doesn't renege that either - I believe he was winnable/electable and that he was NOT a tool of Mitt, he fought a hard battle against evil/lies and he was the one to keep our nation - one nation under God. Mitt and Barry, hell no!!
