I think it's a very good idea to listen, attentively. Normally, he does not make grammatical errors like this:
I think me and Governor Romney are going to have more than enough to argue about during the course of this campaign. (Emphasis added)
Certainly President Obama's teleprompter provides better grammar than that, and he knows better. When really flustered, that's the sort of thing he says. It's good to hear him when he is that flustered.
Good point.
Good point.
Where are you getting the idea that Obama is good w grammar? The few actual examples of his writing available on the Net are rife w errors. Or do you subscribe to the idea that he [not Ayers] wrote Dreams, and that he did so w’out heavy editorial input?
Here’s some Obama grammar for you. It’s an actual quote from an exam he gave when he was lecturing at the U of Chicago law school—i.e.: Post Harvard.
“Law week, two men, Richard and Michael, walked into you office and asked for your help.
You learn that they are a monogamous, gay couple who have been living
together for the past ten years. Both men are successful architects, and after devoting the past decade on their respective careers, they have now decided that they want to marry and raise children together.”
Presumably he wasn’t particularly flustered when he wrote out his exam questions. He just isn’t that good w English.
I can tell you that if it was me, I would resign.
